Why was my payment to Plan to Eat declined?

Declines can happen for a variety of reasons and banks have automated systems to determine whether or not to accept the charge. These systems take into account things such as your spending habits, account balance, and card information like the expiration date and CVC. Because these are constantly changing, a previously successful card might be declined in the future. Regardless of whether or not the card information is correct and has been used previously with a successful payment, a future charge may still be declined by a bank’s overzealous fraud systems.

Can I obtain more information about why my credit card was declined?

Credit card companies do not provide Plan to Eat with the reasons why they decline a charge. If you experience a declined charge you will need to contact your credit card company and ask them why the charge was declined. Most likely their security fraud protection is blocking the payment and you simply need to let them know that they can approve the payment.

But my payment is due, what about my recipes?!

Don't panic. We never delete anything from accounts (unless requested). Once your credit card information is sorted out and your payment on Plan to Eat goes through, your account with all your recipes and meal plans, will be waiting for you exactly where you left off.
